偶然瀏覽Google Map，帶我重回舊地。
曾經，我就是靠這個地方活下來。生活所需的日用品與食物，我想大概有多於百分之九十都來自這裡。

從「家」走到這個超市，途中會經過一條天橋。我忽然很懷疑為什麼曾經我會被說服一起跑過那條天橋當做運動，那條是行車天橋啊…難道空氣真的那麼清新嗎？

Nothing is stable here...
The WiFi is not stable here, so as the course registration.
Can't believe that I was being kicked out from a course after 2 teaching weeks because there is not sufficient spaces for the local students. IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL!
Still trying hard to get into a more meaningful course, I hope tomorrow would be a lucky day...I cannot imagine I have to study a ....Tourism course...

Random Thoughts - Life is tiresome
After I had settled down here, the first thing for me to do is to finish the project for my winter course. It was a challenging task to finish it.
Sometimes I believe nothing in UST is academically relaxing - as long as you have a goal to achieve.
Working hard is not a must for everyone. But in my belief, working hard in these stuff (which will be soon useless after graduation) can train my working ability. Yes, I seldom remember the knowledge that I learned in the University. But I think the experience is more important. And what you get in the progress is somehow more important than the results.

First entry after arrival - 10 Days [Day1/2]
When I am hoping that I can write blog everyday, it just fails.
Anyways, I have stayed in Newcastle for 10 days!
First few days are very exciting and unforgettable to me.
Day1: When I got off the plane to Heathrow, London. The first thought came to me is : what the hell is that plane? 13-hours journey can never be a good experience - yet unforgettable. As I had to wait for the transit, I spent few hours at the airport - buy a drink, being check by the customs (so time-consuming), have a look in the shops.
And the flight to Newcastle is much more comfortable! But the sad thing comes after we picked up our stuff. As it's a Sunday, we cannot get into our flat simply because nobody is working in the office on Sunday! The staff who told this to us may be an exception (of not working on Sundays)- unwillingly.
We took a taxi to the City Center (free of charge, paid by the university) and stayed in a hostel for one night. The hostel is nice, especially an Australian guy (I don't know why I feel impressive on him). I think the only disadvantage is that MSN is blocked in their Free WiFi.
We then went out and visit the city just like a tourist. The campus is not far from the main street. Everything's new indeed, but I don't really feel unfamiliar with them.
Day2: Then we finally can move into our flat. It was a tiresome journey though it's in walking distance as we have to move our big luggage...Then we bought some daily necessities after settle down. Bedding is not expensive, I believe the total should be less than 20GBP for the whole set.
As for my room, I think it's too small in UK, though it's acceptable for people like me who stay in UST's Hall. It's around 2/3 of a room in UST's Hall, of course it's a single room. The style is old as it's built in 1970s (If I am right.) But the condition of furniture is good enough, similar to the one in UST.
The WiFi here is the only choice for connecting to Internet in my room. The hotspot is within the flat so the signal is ok. But when we came back after dinner, the whole flat cannot be connected. The problem is finally fixed after I called to the 24-hours service hotline in the next day's morning. (It's not cheap to make a local call.) No wonder people said the WiFi is unstable.

Leaving
Finally, I'm going to leave Hong Kong within 24 Hours. I don't have much nervous, exciting feelings yet. But my luggage is not ready yet!! I still have to spend a lot of time to pack them. (I will find some time to make a list recording what do I bring to UK after arrival.)
I don't know if I will feel sad when I leave. I don't know if I will cry suddenly at the airport. Anyway, I hope this would be a fruitful and unforgettable journey for me.
Enjoy the last few hours in HK...I definitely miss you all.

Recent Life
I realized that I should find out the enrollment letter and bring it back to home as it may be useful when I arrive UK. I've bought a lot of thick clothes, gloves, .....but they are just not enough for me to survive! (I mean, the number of clothes are not enough, not their thickness!)
Your time will be occupied by a lot of farewell party, re-union dinner before you leave. It's nice to meet so many friends before you leave, but it's just a bit tired and you may realized that you are spending too much.
Learning programming is fun, even its characteristics, "case-sensitive", is really frustrating. And is there any better editor can proofread my code?
I am deciding not to bring so many necessities which are not absolutely necessary to bring to UK. But I really don't know which stuff is a MUST....
In essence, "I am not ready!"

My BIG problem during the Application
Ok, let me write something really related to my exchange.
I have to receive some letters from UK for the general application as well as the accommodation application by post. But since I'm so LUCKY, every time they sent me a letter, there MUST be something wrong so that I always receive my letter after several weeks' delay. So if you didn't stated your address clearly, you may encounter the similar problem like me!
PS: While I have to admit that I didn't write my building name during the application process, but it should be completely fine since it doesn't create any confusions in the past and I have NO PROBLEM in the past. The only reason that I can think of is that my district has a NEW & STUPID postman!

Getting Started
I decided to have a separate blog to record all the stuff which will happened in Jan-Jun 2009. I believe it would be a wonderful journey in my life.
Now I'm still being overwhelmed by the works from all courses while I didn't prepare too much for my journey.
